I am a MRC GW4-funded PhD student working on senescence in ageing and osteoarthritis. My past projects and work at the University of Birmingham and Oxford have consisted of molecular immunology (In other words, tonnes of flow cytometry). In my project I hope to underpin how senescence contributes to the progression of OA and how OA progression can be slowed or prevented using senolytics and senomorphics, learning new molecular and imaging techniques.
In my spare time I enjoy travelling to other parts of the world, learning and indulging in new cultures and seeing what the world has to offer! In Bristol, you’ll catch me hanging out with lab friends, at the gym or sleeping (Yes, PhD students do get to sleep!).
